nintendo-mania.

Well, I did it.

I was able to hold out until Christmas to open and use the Nintendo Wii that I scored a while back. After the third time I tried to stand in line in the frosty, early hours of November Michigan mornings to get one. And my verdict?

It rules. I see this as possibly one of the most innovative and successful gaming consoles that has been released to date. But why?

It gets people interested, all on its own. You see people playing it, and having fun. Then you want to use it. The fact that its wireless, and has a whole new way of controlling gameplay really brings new life to gaming. No offense Mom & Dad—but when my parents start playing video games and liking it—thats a sign that Nintendo is doing something right.

So, here’s to a company that is re-tooling the way people think about video games, and bringing them back to a place where they are they are innovative, creative, and get people playing them together again—in the same room, face-to-face—as well as against each other on “the Internets”.
