downtownypsi.org - relaunch.
I spent a good deal of time thinking about the way that the downtownypsi.org website has been progressing—and decided that it needs more content. More activity. More people. More voices.
I then researched a lot of different online community software options, settled on one, and decided that it was important to do a re-launch, and create a site that truly allowed anyone to contribute if they so desired, with topics of their own choosing.
Don’t get me wrong. I love the WordPress. Love it!
But the problem was the whole “I’m going to write something, and then people will respond to it” model. People couldn’t participate unless there was an article that could be replied to. They didn’t have a way to create new content or discussion points of their own.
I want a site where people themselves can create new topics, new conversations, and new paths of communication. I think this does it.
So there you have it. I [re]launched it today.
Please do check it out, and more importantly—get involved if you have interest. I’m really interested and excited to see where this all goes.
